NCDC 2023-24 New England Division Players Of The Week

Forward: Nathan Stachowiak, South Shore Kings 

Stachowiak (‘04/Cheektowaga, N.Y.) was huge for the Kings as they got a pair of wins over the Northern Cyclones on Dec. 14 and 17, scoring three goals and putting up two assists for a five-point run. He was in on half his team’s goals in an 8-3 win with a 2-2-4 line. A Co-Captain for the Kings, he has 36 points in 26 games this year and 62 points in 73 career games. 

 

Defense: Salvatore Cerrato, South Shore Kings 

Cerrato (‘04/St. Louis, Mo.) put up a pair of goals and added one assist for three points. He put up a defensive corps-leading 19:41 of ice time per game against the Cyclones, and was a +3 with a team-leading 20 takeaways. He has 24 points in 25 games this year and 39 points in 65 career games. 

 

Goaltender: Michael Salvatore, Islanders Hockey Club 

Salvatore (‘03/Newburyport, Mass.) put up a 31-save shutout to defeat the Junior Bruins on Dec. 16. He improved to 6-0-2-0 on the season thus far, and has two shutouts in his last three games. 

 

Rookie*: Jake Kavanagh, South Shore Kings

Kavanagh (‘05/Montreal, Que.) continues to thrive in his first season coming out of Choate Rosemary Hall School, recently putting up a goal and four assists for five points during the team’s sweep of the Cyclones. He actually has eight points over his last three games.
