NCDC 2023-24 Atlantic Division Players Of The Week

Forward: Henri Spoof, Mercer Chiefs 

The ‘03 from Jyvaskala, Finland, continues to impress with his timely goals and consistent contributions. He has four goals over his last three games, including three plus two assists in the Chiefs’ recent sweep of the Jersey Hitmen. His 1-2-3 performance on Dec. 17 was his third since Nov. 18. He holds a 13-13-26 line in 27 games in this, his first North American season. 

 

Defense: Seth Rakosky, Connecticut Jr. Rangers 

The Connecticut Jr. Rangers enjoyed a sweep against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights, and Seth Rakosky played a huge part of that. The 2004-born Denver native registered a goal and an assist, and also was a +2 on the weekend with eight takeaways. He currently has three points in 24 games this year. 

 

Goaltender: Primo Baldassarre, Connecticut Jr. Rangers

He just keeps getting it done. In two games against the Knights, Baldassarre (‘04/Glenolden, Pa.) stopped all 37 he faced on Dec. 16, and for the whole two game performance, he stopped 83 of the 85 shots he faced  against the Knights. He is 5-2-0-0 with a 1.58 GAA and .962 save percentage. 

 

Rookie*: Alexander Ondos, Connecticut Jr. Rangers

Ondos (‘04/Pittsburgh, Pa.) registered a pair of goals and a pair of assists as the Rangers got the wins against the Knights – including a 1-2-3 line in their 4-0 victory. He joined the Rangers this year out of the Northfield Mount Hermon School as well as the GBL Jr. Bruins split season program.
