In The Playoff Push, we will take a look at the busiest game days’ most integral games in regards to teams clinching playoffs or clinching specific playoff berths, as we head down the stretch toward the end of the regular season in early March.
The South Shore Kings and Ogden Mustangs both nailed a berth yesterday. In the Atlantic, P.A.L. clinched first place.
We are also watching the P.A.L. Jr. Islanders in their quest for the Founders’ Cup (i.e. regular season championship trophy). Until they run away with points, this will be a winning percentage race. The Mountain Division plays more games. There are six teams that could catch them. P.A.L. can do no lower than .683. Six teams can theoretically finish above .700.
