Forward: David Utkin, Utah Outliers

Utkin (‘05/Murmansk, Russia) posted a hat trick to help the Outliers bounce back from an early 3-2 Ogden Mustangs lead in their Friday game. He also posted an assist the next night in the Mustangs’ win. He has posted six goals and two assists for eight points in six games, scoring points in all but one of those so far. Utkin was part of the Outliers’ USPHL Premier team last year. 

 

Defense: D.J. MacLeish, Idaho Falls Spud Kings

The highest-scoring individual in the NCDC between Oct. 3-9, the former Little Caesars standout posted a 1-3-4 line in the Spud Kings’ 7-3 win in Wyoming and then added a goal and two assists for three points in their home-opening 6-4 win on Saturday. The ‘05 from Troy, Mich., now has eight points in five games. 

 

Goaltender: Loic Mainguy-Crepault, Utah Outliers 

Mainguy-Crpault had the ultimate relief win for the Outliers. He came in with his team down 3-2, and then stopped 31 of 32 the rest of the way to allow his team’s offense to build towards a 5-4 victory in the end. The next night, the ‘03 third-year junior veteran from Quebec City stopped 24 of 27 in a close defeat to the Mustangs. In five appearances, he stands with a 2-2-0-0 record. 

 

Rookie: Parker Osborn, Ogden Mustangs 

Osborn (‘05/Mound, Minn.) was huge for the Mustangs during their split weekend against Utah. He posted a goal and an assist in Friday’s 5-4 loss and then two assists in the Mustangs’ 4-1 win on Saturday.
