NCDC 2023-24 Players Of The Week: Atlantic Division

Games of Oct. 3-9, 2023

 

Forward: Max Jaldung, Connecticut Jr. Rangers 

Jaldung (‘03/Stockholm, Sweden) was the top producer for the Connecticut Jr. Rangers – and the Atlantic Division overall. He posted a goal and an assist against the South Shore and two helpers against Junior Bruins for four points in two games. He has five multiple-point games out of the seven he’s played so far, giving him 10 points. Jaldung is a #USPHLAdvancement success story having played during the 2020-21 season with the former New York Aviators. 

 

Defense: Caden Olenczak, Rockets Hockey Club 

The first-year ‘04 Atlanta native from The Hill School put up strong numbers for the Rockets, who went 2-1 at the Hitmen Classic. He posted the overtime game-winner in the Rockets’ opener against the Utica Jr. Comets and added two more assists. He holds a 2-3-5 line in his first eight games this season. 

 

Goaltender: Braedyn McIntosh, Jersey Hitmen

An ‘03 from Milton, Ont., the third-year junior veteran helped the Hitmen earn their first win of the year by stopping 23 of 24 against the Boston Junior Bruins. He also stopped 32 of 34 against the Twin City Thunder in the Hitmen Classic hosts’ 2-1 defeat on Oct. 5. 

 

Rookie (New to Tier II*/’04 or younger): Ryan Kearney, P.A.L. Jr. Islanders

A local ‘04 from Kings Park, N.Y., Kearney is a former Jr. Islanders youth hockey player and was more recently a Hill School teammate of Caden Olenczak. He posted a goal and an assist during the Hitmen Classic to improve his season totals to 3-2-5 in eight games.
