The National Collegiate Development Conference is proud to announce that the Ogden Mustangs’ Forward Parker Osborn has been named the Mountain Division 2023-24 Rookie of the Year And Forward Of The Year

Osborn, a 2005-born native of Mound, Minn., came to the Mustangs after three years at Holy Family Catholic High School, including 2022-23, when he was a Co-Captain and scored 69 points in 26 games.

Along with former Holy Family Catholic teammate and Co-Captain Ethan Hall, he made the journey west to Ogden and was an instant hit. He posted a five-game scoring streak right from the start (2-6-8) and went on to become the league’s leading goal-scorer, putting up 38 goals and adding 28 assists for 66 points, second most in the NCDC this year. Not only did his 38 goals lead the way this year, they’re tied for second-most in a single NCDC season, tied with the Pueblo Bulls’ Hunter Hayes. His 66 points are second all-time by an NCDC rookie (a record of 76 held by Merrimack College recruit and last year’s league-wide Rookie of the Year Caden Cranston, of the Rockets Hockey Club).

Osborn also finished in a tie for second-most game-winning goals on the season with seven, and his 12 power play goals were also tied for second league-wide. In the last seven playoff games, he has scored six points to help push the Ogden Mustangs to the Dineen Cup Finals for the first time, beginning next Friday, April 26.

“I’m honored to receive the Mountain Division Forward of the Year and Rookie of the Year. God has blessed me with a supportive community, passionate coaches, reliable teammates and a caring billet family,” said Osborn, in an e-mailed statement. “I’m grateful for all of these things, for they have made my time in Ogden an enjoyable experience. “This organization has done a lot for me and I’m proud to be a part of the successes we’ve had.”

“Parker has been a pleasure to get to know and coach over this season,” said Mustangs Head Coach Kenny Orlando. “He has great character, is attentive to details, and is always finding ways to better his game. He’s got a bright future ahead of him, and I’m excited to see where he takes it.”

The NCDC joins the Ogden Mustangs in congratulating Parker Osborn for being named the Mountain Division 2023-24 Rookie Of The Year and Forward Of The Year.
