Islanders Hockey Club 3, Northern Cyclones 2 (OT) 

The Islanders improved to 10-0-2-0 on the season and are on a 10-game winning streak after defeating the Cyclones in overtime, with Braxton Powers’ game-winner scored at 0:46 of OT. Samuel Larsson posted a goal and assist and Joseph Samango had two assists. Frank Murphy stopped 32 of 34 for the win and Jeffrey Fillion stopped 35 of 38 on the other end.

 

South Shore Kings 3, Twin City Thunder 2

The Kings have won two straight with Jake Kavanagh scoring two of their three goals in the victory including the regulation GWG. He also and an assist, while Culin Wilson posted a 1-1-2 like and Nate Stachowiak posted two assists. Ryan Keyes made 25 saves on 27 shots for the win and Stefan Carney stopped 41 of 44 for the Thunder.

 

P.A.L. Jr. Islanders 4, Mercer Chiefs 1

Ty Broad and Carter Hanrahan, both veterans of the 2023 Dineen Cup Champion Jr. Islanders, each posted a goal and two assists, and Nick Bevilacqua stopped 36 of 37 shots for the win as P.A.L. closed the day on a three-game winning streak.

 

Utica Jr. Comets 5, Boston Junior Bruins 4

A back-and-forth game saw three lead changes en route to the Jr. Comets’ second win in a row. The Jr. Comets went up 3-0, the Junior Bruins made it 4-3, and then the Jr. Comets’ Garrett Krieger and Fuji Suzuki closed the proceedings in Utica’s favor. Suzuki’s fourth of the year was the GWG. Suzuki, Seth Ferguson and Daniel Urban each posted a 1-1-2 line and Krieger led Utica with a goal and two assists. Waylon Esche made 39 saves on 44 for the win.

 

Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights 8, Rockets Hockey Club 5

The Knights had a huge offensive day, with William Jasmin posting a 1-3-4 line to lead the way chipping in on half the day’s production. Sacha Trudel and Justin Ryan both had two goals and Andrew Uturo had two assists. Tade Carman made an amazing 47 saves on 52 shots to hold off a very driven Rockets club. Cam Bergeman (1-3-4) and Jonas Dobnig (2-1-3) were the leaders for the home Rockets.

 

Rock Springs Grizzlies 3, Pueblo Bulls 0 

Tucker Inabinet made 32 saves for the Grizzlies’ first-ever win, a shutout on home ice against the Pueblo Bulls. Owen Meyer scored the eventual GWG, another first in Grizzlies history. Garrett Parker and Charlie Ashton also scored for the victors.

 

Utah Outliers 7, Idaho Falls Spud Kings 1

David Utkin, one of the league’s leading goal-scorers, posted his 10th and 11th on the year and added an assist to lead the Outliers to a clear victory against the host Spud Kings. Makar Klochkov, Daniil Chuparnov and Grant Parshall also had multi-point outings and Griffin Davis was a star in net making 49 saves on 50 shots.

 

Ogden Mustangs 6, Provo Predators 3

The Mustangs’ Carson Melquist scored a hat trick and Parker Osborn scored two more as the Mustangs pulled ahead 4-0 by the end of the first period. Jack Bartfield had three assists and Ethan Hall and Casper Conradsson-Kelvgard registered two assists. Daniel Ellingson posted a 1-1-2 line. Vladislav Bryzgalov made 47 saves on 50 shots.
