The Dan K Show NCDC Fan’s Choice Awards Voting Now Open

The Dan K Show has partnered with the NCDC to create a series of fan-voted awards in the National Collegiate Development Conference. Fans will now, for the first time, have the ability to vote for a Goalie, Forward, and Defenseman of the Year in the NCDC.

Fans will be able to vote for one of the players listed but can also select a deserving write-in candidate by using the “other” slot provided. Round 1 of voting runs through Wednesday, with the final voting running until Friday, May 10th. Winners will be announced during NCDC Draft Coverage on May 13th


Here are the nominees for each category.


2024 NCDC The Dan K Show Goalie of the Year

Nicholas Bevilacqua – P.A.L. Jr. Islanders

Nicholas Bevilacqua finished the ’23-’24 campaign with a league leading 1.96 GAA and .948 SV%, and second-best 30 Wins, all while seeing the second most shots in the entire NCDC (1408 SA). Nicholas spent 3 years in the NCDC, with each season showing improvement across every metric. 

Nikita Volsky – Ogden Mustangs

Nikita Volsky was a mid-season acquisition by the Ogden Mustangs, and Volsky immediately went to work locking down the Ogden net. Posting a 2.14 GAA and a .934 SV% in the Regular Season with Ogden, Volsky helped his team reach their first ever Dineen Cup by going 7-1-0-1 with a 1.75 GAA and a .952 SV% in the playoffs.

Ryan Keyes – South Shore Kings

2024 Dineen Cup champion Ryan Keyes had his best season in his entire NCDC career. In 41 GP, Keyes posted a 31-7-2-1 record with a 2.06 GAA and a .926 SV% in the regular season, and led his team to a Dineen Cup final that saw the Kings needing to defeat the P.A.L. Jr. Islanders to advance to the Dineen Cup Finals.

Tucker Inabinet – Idaho Falls Spud Kings

Tucker Inabinet found his home in Idaho Falls, protecting a Spud Kings crease as they made a second half run in the regular season that saw them earn a playoff berth. With the Spud Kings, Inabinet went 11-8-0-2, with a 1.98 GAA and a .943 SV%, all while facing an average of 33.4 Shots Per Game 


2024 NCDC The Dan K Show Forward of the Year

Ty Broad – P.A.L. Jr. Islanders

Ty finished the season with the most points of any skater in the NCDC, with 25G/45A/70PTS in 50 games this season. Ty embodies the model of development in the NCDC, with each season in the league resulting in more impressive performances. Ty had 7 point (2/5/7) in 10 games played in the 2024 playoffs.

Kotaro Murase – South Shore Kings

Kotaro ended his regular season with 22G/33A/55PTS in 52 games, 12 Power Play points, and ended his South Shore Kings career with a Dineen Cup in 2024. Kotaro played two season with South Shore, racking up 87 points in 96 career games, including 18 points (4G/14A) in 20 playoff games. 

Parker Osborn – Ogden Mustangs

Parker Osborn left his mark on the Ogden Mustangs this season, averaging over a point per game with an impressive slash line (38G/28A/66PTS in 51 GP). He had an incredible playoff run in Ogden’s first ever trip to the Dineen Cup finals with a 2G/7A/9PTS line in 10 playoff games

Hunter Hayes – Pueblo Bulls

Hunter’s season got off to a slow start, but picked up as the season went on, netting him 64 points in 51 games (38G/26A), including 14 PPG. Hayes’s most impressive effort saw him finish the season with 8 multi-point games in Pueblo’s final 10 games of the regular season, ultimately resulting in 20 total points during that span. 



2024 The Dan K Show NCDC Defenseman of the Year

Teddie Hember – Ogden Mustangs

Teddie made a huge impact with the Mustangs this season, both on the points sheet and on the ice as a hard-hitting defenseman in the Mountain Division. Teddie was a +22 on the season, and an overall slash line of 11G/27A/38PTS in 45 regular season games.

Salvatore Cerrato – South Shore Kings

Cerrato was an integral part of the ’23-’24 South Shore Kings season, including 4 points on his way to a Dineen Cup victory with the Kings.  Salvatore was a +28 on the season with 44 points on the season (7G/37A).

Jonah Copre – Rockets Hockey Club

Jonah Copre led all NCDC Defensemen in scoring this season with 49 points in 51 regular season games (8G/41A), including 5 PPG and 18 PPA. Jonah’s second season with the Rockets Hockey Club saw him improve his point totals this season, including 2 assists in three playoff games.

DJ MacLeish – Idaho Falls Spud Kings

DJ played a substantial role in the Spud Kings success this season. In 50 regular season games, DJ scored 47 points (19G/28A) including 5 GWG. He was a +7 this season, combining scoring skill with a physical and hard hitting presence.
