NCDC 2023-24 Players Of The Week: Mountain Division

Week of Sept. 25-Oct. 2, 2023

Forward: Dimitri Voyatzis, Ogden Mustangs

Voyatzis (‘03/Fountain Valley, Calif.) is certainly already enjoying his first NCDC season, which is also his third with the Ogden Mustangs. He posted five assists, including three against the Pueblo Bulls in a 5-2 victory to complete a weekend sweep last Saturday. He now has six assists over his past three games.

Defense: Will Sinclair, Pueblo Bulls

The NCDC veteran and native Coloradoan Sinclair (‘03/Erie, Colo.) was one of the best things going for the Bulls in an otherwise tough weekend against the Mustangs. He posted a goal and two assists in the two games, and also had eight blocked shots and 10 takeaways on defense. With five points in four games, he’s already passed his points total from 33 games last year with Twin City.

Goaltender: Michael Polston, Provo Predators

Now where have we seen this name before? Oh yes, right in the very same space last year. The former Honeybaked goaltender Polston (‘04/Cedarburg, Wis.) was up to old tricks already with his first NCDC shutout, stopping all 35 shots he faced from the visiting Idaho Falls Spud Kings on Saturday. He has just one goal against so far in two starts in his Tier II career, posting a 0.50 GAA and a .986 save percentage on 72 shots against.

Rookie: Magzhan Sagadiev, Utah Outliers

Sagadiev (‘05/Almaty, Kazakhstan) had a fantastic introduction to the NCDC, posting a goal and three assists for four points in the Outliers’ two wins against the Rock Springs Grizzlies. Sagadiev is out of the Northfield Mt. Hermon School in Massachusetts, as well as the GBL Jr. Bruins split-season program.

Rookie: New to Tier II or no more than 10 Tier II games before this year; 2004 or younger.
