NCDC New England Division Players Of The Month: February 2025

 

Forwards 

Cody Pisarczyk, Utica Jr. Comets

Pisarczyk (‘04/Calgary, Alb.) scored six goals and seven assists for 13 points in nine games. A four-year AJHL veteran, Pisarczyk joined the Jr. Comets in February and made an immediate impression with his new team. 

 

Daniel Urban, Utica Jr. Comets 

An NCDC All-Star selection, Urban (‘04/Orchard Park, N.Y.) scored four goals and seven assists for 11 points in eight games during February. With 50 points this season, Urban has more than doubled his 21 points from last year. 

 

Noah Tano, Northern Cyclones

Tano (‘05/San Mateo, Calif.) put together a 3-7-10 line for the month of February, and he now has 25  points in 37 games. Tano is a product of the Tier 1 Hockey Federation and the Cyclones 18U program. 

 

Forward Honorable Mention: Cameron Stehle, Islanders Hockey Club

 

Defense:

Zachary Walsh, South Shore Kings 

Walsh (‘05/Lake View, N.Y.) scored a goal and added nine assists for 10 points in 10 games. The Hamilton College recruit from the Salisbury School has been an All-Star selection and he has picked up 44 points in 47 games to rank second among NCDC defensemen. 

 

Patrick Dotson, Worcester Railers JHC

Dotson (‘05/Bronxville, N.Y.) scored two goals and added nine assists for 11 points in 11 games for the Railers over February. In 27 games, he has scored 25 points so far this season. 

 

Defense Honorable Mention: Brandon Hemmer, Seacoast Spartans 

 

Goaltender: Logan Abric, Northern Cyclones 

Abric (‘04/Hayward, Wis.) won all six of his appearances during the month of February, and in the process he stopped 206 of 221 shots for a .932 save percentage. He registered a 2.35 GAA as well. For the season, Abric has an 18-5-2-0 record and a 31-19-6-1 record for his career. His .921 save percentage for this season is close to his .918 three-year average. 

 

Goaltender Honorable Mention: Braxton Castagno, Islanders Hockey Club

 

Selection Process: The division’s coaches are presented with a ballot form with statistical leaders (ranked by points per game average for skaters and save percentage for goaltenders) and vote on that form. The league takes the results of that vote and presents the coaches with the finalists, who are able to vote on further changes if desired.
