Week of Jan. 30, 2025
Games of Jan. 21-27, 2025
Forward: Ayzek Waldron, Boston Dogs
Waldron (‘05/Cadyville, N.Y.) joined the Dogs only recently, starting this month, but he’s had a great impact on the team. He has put up seven points in eight games, including a 2-2-4 line against the Connecticut Jr. Rangers and Seacoast Spartans. He had a 1-2-3 line against Seacoast, including the GWG.
Defense: Nolan Berner, Boston Dogs
Berner (‘05/Milford, Mich.) played a big part in the Dogs’ 6-2 victory over Seacoast Spartans, including putting up a goal and an assist. Berner joined the Dogs (and the EHL’s Terriers) this season after a strong career at Flint Powers Catholic High School in his home state.
Goaltender: Beau Lane, South Shore Kings
Lane (‘04/Pembroke, Mass.) gave up just three goals on 59 shots in two wins against the Islanders Hockey Club over the past week, and he has improved to 8-2-1-0 for the season with a .922 save percentage.
Rookie: Logan Brennan, South Shore Kings
Brennan (‘06/Hingham, Mass.), who played in the NCDC All-Star event for the NCDC Prospects team on Monday and Tuesday, registered three assists against the Islanders prior to those festivities. Brennan now has nine points in his 29 games.
Selection Process: Team coaches first nominate players, the League sends back finalists, and coaches are then able to further vote on finalists or nominate other players.
