Idaho Falls Spud Kings 2, Pueblo Bulls 1
The Spud Kings held on to get the 2-1 win to push them into the Mountain Division Championship Series against the Ogden Mustangs, which starts on Monday in Idaho Falls. Spud Kings veteran D.J. MacLeish scored the game-winner in the second period, after Max Von Klinggraeff evened up the game earlier in that same period. Charlie Durkin stood tall again in net, making 25 saves on 26 shots. For the Bulls, Noel Friedman was strong again, making 36 saves on 38 shots.
Ogden Mustangs 5, Utah Outliers 2
The Ogden Mustangs are into the Mountain Division Championship series. The Mustangs defeated the rival Utah Outliers by a 5-2 score in Game 4 of the Mountain Semifinal round, winning the series 3-1. Caleb Bendell was the hat trick hero for the Mustangs, including scoring his third on a shorthanded breakaway. Roman Cherniak scored a goal and added two assists, and Leo Burns put up two assists. Dilans Birkans stopped 24 of 26 shots for the win, and Utah’s Matthew MacArthur made 31 saves on 35 shots.
