New Jersey Hitmen defenseman Wilson Farrow will be continuing his hockey career with an NCAA commitment to Williams College for the 2025-26 season.
Farrow, a Sudbury, ONT,native, has been a staple blueliner for the Hitmen all season in his first year with the club. In 44 games played, he has 35 points (three goals and 32 assists). Farrow was also selected as an Atlantic All-Star last month and contributed one goal during the series.
“I think the Hitmen have provided me with an opportunity to play hard-disciplined hockey while looking to develop daily in a competitive setting,” said Farrow.
Farrow has been in constant communication with Williams College since last season and he has built a great relationship with the coaching staff.
“The coaching staff at Williams liked my strong skating ability, puck-moving and offensive instincts,” said Farrow.
Williams provides both a strong hockey program and great academics. Farrow knew he could not pass up this opportunity. He also enjoyed the campus and everything it had to offer.
“Williams offers an amazing academic opportunity that would be hard to pass on,” said Farrow. “It’s a competitive hockey program with a positive culture that I wanted to join for my college career. The visit I had was an amazing experience. I enjoyed the beautiful campus and positive environment the school offers. It left my family and I with a good feeling moving forward with Williams.”
After his great showing with the Hitmen this season, Farrow is working on getting stronger when he gets to the college level.
“I’ve been looking to develop my 200-foot play and work on my details defensively while continuing to use my offensive skills to prepare for next year,” said Farrow.
The Hitmen have had a tremendous season and are currently sitting in third place in the Atlantic Division with a 27-16-4-1 record and have clinched a playoff spot. Farrow is hoping his team can make a deep run and compete for the Dineen Cup.
“As a group we’d like to push the rest of the year towards a deep run into the playoffs with a championship in mind,” said Farrow.
The NCDC congratulates Wilson Farrow, his family, the New Jersey Hitmen and Williams College for his commitment.
